Position Description:

This position is responsible for managing the scanning, reviewing and processing of documents to ensure the document quality controls are enforced in support of our customer, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). There are two primary functions to which the Supervisor II will oversee: Performing extensive quality control activity for scanning teams and carry out second level quality reviews on work performed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND/OR technical background with knowledge of scanning applications and folder structure systems for electronic documents, understanding of policy issues, and experience in performing scanning.
  • Three (3) years related experience with two (2) years direct experience scanning documents and at least one (1) year of office, records, or computer experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Pro.
  • Proficient with office automation tools such as Microsoft Office and other common desktop applications.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with the querying and use of databases, to include assisting in the compilation of monthly reports.
  • Must have a combination of excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced paper and electronic production environment.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess or be able to obtain/maintain a Government Public Trust Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Federal Docket Management System (FDMS) experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in health or science related field.
  • Supervisory and/or Team Lead experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage document tracking databases, inventorying records, scanning and micrographics.
  • Perform extensive quality control checks, document control and processing, and the overall quality of the performance of the scope of work.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Project Managers and Senior Task Leaders and provide assistance to the client.
  • Monitor staff workloads, prioritize work and assign staff resources as necessary within their cluster or area of operations.
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train staff accordingly, including assisting with training new hires.
  • Review and monitor performance for completeness and adherence to standards (timeliness and quality).
  • Solicit feedback on project performance from the client.
  • Daily use of office automation tools such as Microsoft Office and other common desktop applications.
  • Make necessary changes to the work process, when requested.

Work Conditions:

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
