Position Description:

Join the AMTIS, Inc. Training and Evaluation Team as we continue to grow! We have an immediate opening for a motivated, results-oriented Jr. Instructional Designer with a passion for training who is excited by the idea of helping us take it to the next level. The position requires hands on experience with the application of the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) Instructional Model. The ideal candidate will have experience applying a common sense approach to creating training that provides measurable performance outcomes. Leadership and management opportunities abound for the right candidates!

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Systems Design, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Technology, or related field.
  • One (1) year of relevant experience including use of Learning Content Management System (LCMS) for content development.
  • Must have hands-on, practical work experience using the ADDIE Instructional Model.
  • Must be able to work with post-secondary education faculty to derive instructional content.
  • Must be able to create instructional products with extremely high attention to detail and accuracy, and work within a team environment.
  • Must be able to interact with internal team members and external stakeholders in a problem-solving, constructive manner.
  • Must be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluate instructional validity of all syllabus and map objectives for assigned courses.
  • Identify instructional objectives and map to relevant instructional material.
  • Review documents with stakeholders and revise as necessary.
  • Select appropriate interactive components for the organization and layout of the course.
  • Select instructionally relevant images for instructional material.
  • Coordinate all graphics and A/V development with Media team.
  • Develop Design Documents with strict adherence to the templates.
  • Develop Knowledge Checks based on the lesson content.
  • Provide copyediting on lesson content.
  • Work with the course builders to provide guidance and expertise to produce the final course.
  • Validate the format and accuracy of the Reference List.
  • Coordinate necessary copyright clearances for all media elements.
  • Complete tasks within agreed upon schedules.
  • Use Learning Content Management System (LCMS) for content development.
  • Perform Quality Assurance product reviews.
  • Evaluate all deliverables for conformance with QA policies and procedures, applicable standards and conventions, specifications, and style guides.
  • Must be able to immediately recognize potential deviations from contract requirements and identify them to the Project Manager as risks for mitigation prior to their becoming an out of scope issue.

Work Conditions:

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
